User testing for digital products and services

Getting your customers on the right path.

We put your product in front of real people, watch where they get lost, and show you the way out.

Why test now

AI means products are being built faster than ever. They still have to work for humans.

Teams can go from idea to working product in days. That speed is a gift, but it also means more features ship before anyone has watched a real customer try to use them.

Generated code can pass every test and still leave people confused at the second screen. Synthetic users can guess what someone might do. Only real people show you what they actually do, and why.

Fast building needs fast, honest feedback from humans. That is what we do.

Services

We dig deep.

Every engagement ends in a clear report. Pick the methods that suit your question, or let us recommend a mix.

01

Usability testing

We give real customers real tasks in your website, app, prototype or service, and watch closely. You see exactly where people hesitate, misread or give up, and what would have helped them through.

  • Moderated, in person or remote
  • Live products or prototypes
  • Competitor testing and analysis
  • Highlight clips of key moments
02

Expert UX audit

A fast, thorough review of your product against proven usability principles and accessibility standards, drawing on 20 years of UX practice. Ideal when you need answers this week, or before you test with customers.

  • Heuristic and accessibility review
  • UX copy review
  • Prioritised fixes in days, not weeks
03

1:1 interviews

In-depth conversations that uncover what customers need, what frustrates them, and how they really make decisions.

  • Discovery and needs research
  • Jobs to be done
04

Focus groups

Small, well-run group sessions to test concepts, messaging and early ideas, and hear how people talk about them in their own words.

  • Concept and proposition testing
  • Naming and messaging
05

Surveys

Carefully designed surveys that put numbers behind the questions you have.

  • Survey design and analysis
  • Satisfaction and benchmarking
06

Service testing

Not everything happens on a screen. We test the whole journey: phone calls, letters, emails, counters and handovers between teams.

  • End-to-end journey mapping
  • Onboarding and support flows

How it works

From question to answer in four steps.

You stay focused on building. We handle recruiting, running sessions and making sense of what we find.

Scope

We agree what you need to learn, who your customers are and which methods will answer it.

Recruit

We find and schedule the right participants, matched to your audience, and prepare the test plan.

Test

We run the sessions. Your team is welcome to watch live, so the findings never come as a surprise.

Report

We write it up and walk you through it: what we saw, why it matters and what to change first.

What you get

A report your whole team can act on.

No 80-page slide decks that sit in a drive. Our reports are short, visual and ranked by impact, so designers, developers and leadership can all move on them.

  • Prioritised findingsEvery issue rated by severity and how many people it affected.
  • Clear recommendationsPractical fixes from a designer's point of view, not just a list of problems.
  • Ready for AI coding toolsOn request, recommendations come written as clear, structured instructions your team can hand straight to an AI coding tool to make the changes.
  • Video highlightsShort clips of customers in their own words, ready to share.
  • A walkthrough sessionWe present the findings and answer your team's questions.

About

Hi, I'm John Roche.

I've spent 20 years in UX design and user research for digital products and services, including in-house at the BBC and Amazon. I still learn something new every time I see a customer use a product for the first time.

Warren brings that experience to teams who want straight answers. Because I'm a designer as well as a researcher, the recommendations are practical and grounded in what your team can actually build.
